Primer: After washing my face with a cleanser and letting any serums or moisturizers set in, I always apply the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer evenly to my entire face before putting on concealer or foundation. A great primer is the best way to ensure that your foundation will look smooth and even when applied. Not only does this primer make foundation look more matte (great if you struggle with oily skin or if you’re going out on a hot day), but it also helps to minimize the appearance of pores.

Application: I use a beautyblender to apply both my concealer and my tinted moisturizer or foundation. Using a beautyblender helps to ensure smooth, even coverage and prevents my makeup from looking cakey. I’ve also noticed that using a beautyblender has minimized the appearance of pores on my nose when I wear tinted moisturizer or foundation. Since the beautyblender is super absorbent, I first apply my tinted moisturizer or foundation directly onto the back of my hand rather than directly onto the beautyblender. This has saved me so much product! I then use a finger to dab small dots of product from my hand onto my face. I use the beautyblender to spread the product evenly all across my face and my neck. I found that I do not need to wet the beautyblender before use, so you can skip that step if you’re in a hurry!

Concealer: I’ve tried so many different concealers in the past, but without a doubt the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer is the best! This concealer completely covers up any unwanted blemishes that might pop up unannounced and the dark circles under my eyes after I’ve had a long night. It stays on all day long and doesn’t appear to be cakey or start to crease like many other concealers do at the end of the day.

Tinted Moisturizer: I opt for tinted moisturizer instead of foundation for my everyday makeup because it is lightweight and gives me a more natural look. I rotate between 2 tinted moisturizers: the Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer and the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer. I usually wear the Laura Mercier one when I know I’ll have makeup on for an extended period of time, or if I’ll be outdoors on a hot day, because it is oil-free and I do not want to risk any breakouts. Both of these tinted moisturizers are personal favorites because they provide amazing coverage, have noticeably smooth application, and are long-lasting. I couldn’t ask for anything more!

Highlighter: For a quick and easy way to add a gorgeous glow to my everyday makeup look, I use the Fenty Beauty Shimmer Stick. I loved this highlighter stick so much that I ended buying several different colors, with my favorite being the classic gold color (especially when I am more tan during the summer months). It is SO easy to highlight my face after applying tinted moisturizer or foundation with this shimmer stick. All I have to do is rub the stick onto the areas I want to highlight (i.e., the tip of my nose, directly under the arch of my eyebrows, and along the top of my cheekbones) and use a finger or two to softly blend in the shimmering color.

Eyeshadow and Mascara: I love using the Huda Beauty Eyeshadow Palette because the light, dark, and sparkly colors I need are all in one place! I can’t get enough of the warmer colors, like golds and browns, when it comes to a natural makeup look. The colors in the Huda Beauty Palette have a strong pigment and last all day long without smearing away. This palette is everything I wanted from an eyeshadow palette, and it even comes in 4 different color themes! I’ve been using the iconic MAC 224S Tapered Blending Brush since I first started wearing makeup in high school (over 10 years ago), and I’m convinced a better blending brush for eyeshadow simply doesn’t exist. Fortunately, I was blessed with long eyelashes (it’s probably the Persian in me), but the Superhero Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara can make even short eyelashes appear full and dramatic. It’s the one mascara that I’ve stuck with consistently, and I continue to re-order more whenever I run out. People always ask me if I have lash extensions when I have this mascara on… it’s THAT good! If you still feel like your lashes need a little more prep before putting mascara on, I highly recommend the bestselling Shiseido Eyelash Curler.

Setting Spray: I end my everyday makeup routine with a few sprays of the Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray all over my face to ensure that my makeup stays on for as long as I need it to that day. I’ve never experienced my makeup running off my face or looking oily throughout the day when I use this setting spray. I’ve already told the makeup artist for my wedding that this product is a MUST on my wedding day. I really can’t live without it!
